If you are an overseas agency or hotel sending guests to Türkiye, your ground partner determines how your brand is experienced. Here is what to check before the first booking.
1. Licence and legal status
Ask for the TÜRSAB licence number and verify it. Only licensed agencies can legally operate tours and transfers in Türkiye, and only they carry the required professional insurance.
2. Vehicle ownership
Ask whether the vehicles are owned or subcontracted. Both can work, but a partner who owns their fleet controls the standard directly. Ask for photographs of the actual vehicles, not stock images.
3. Guide licensing
Professional guides in Türkiye must hold a Ministry of Culture and Tourism licence. Unlicensed guiding carries fines that can land on your guest's day.
4. Confirmation time
For transfers you should expect confirmation the same day. For hotel and multi-day programmes, within 24–48 hours. Slower than that becomes a problem in peak season.
5. One operations contact
You want a name and a mobile number that answers at 2 a.m., not a shared inbox. Delayed flights and lost luggage do not happen during office hours.
6. Payment terms
Clarify currency, invoice cycle and cancellation deadlines in writing before the first file. Ambiguity here causes more disputes than pricing does.
7. Emergency protocol
Ask what happens if a vehicle breaks down or a driver does not arrive. A serious partner will have a specific answer and a backup vehicle plan.
We are happy to answer all seven of these questions in writing before you commit to anything. Request our net rate sheet and we will include them.
